Hello, I'm Dr. Mabel Yu!I am a doctoral clinician who recently joined Evaluate. I am an early career clinician with an educational background in psychology that includes: a Bachelor of Arts (BA) with Honours in Psychology from Mount Royal University in Calgary, Alberta; a Master of Arts (MA) in Clinical Psychology from the University of Regina in Regina, Saskatchewan; and, a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Clinical Psychology from the University of Regina in Regina, Saskatchewan.
I completed my pre-doctoral residency at The Royal Ottawa Mental Health Centre. In that role I provided evidence-based treatment and assessment services to adults experiencing anxiety, depression, schizophrenia, and trauma-related disorders and difficulties. Currently, I am completing my post-doctoral fellowship at the DBT Centre in Vancouver. In this role, I am providing evidence-based, individual and group psychotherapy services to adults experiencing substantial mental health challenges. I have experience conducting comprehensive psychological assessments, including psychodiagnostic, psychoeducational, and forensic risk assessments. I joined Evaluate because I have a passion for assessment and am eager to apply my clinical skills to support children and families in B.C. At Evaluate, I will be working closely with Dr. Ashley Heiner, as I also work towards my registration as a psychologist with the College of Psychologists of British Columbia. |
