Evaluation isn't part of my practice.

Hello, I'm Dr. Ashley Heiner!I established Evaluate because I wanted to make it easier for people like you to find the psychological assessment that you need.
People come to me with questions that they want answered. I start by making sure I understand what a person wants to know and why. I then tailor an assessment to answer those questions. I select the most appropriate procedures for collecting information, whether it be questionnaires, interviews, psychological tests, observations, and / or reading existing records. I analyze the data that I collect. I formulate conclusions, and I write a report that includes practical recommendations for how to move forward. I complete a wide range of psychological assessments for clinical and forensic settings, including: psychoeducational, risk of violence and recidivism, section 211 (child custody), views of the child, voice of the child, parenting capacity (PCAs), immigration, workplace disability, vocational, and independent medical examination (IME). The people who come to me have questions about:

My GoalMy goal is to offer conclusions and recommendations in an unbiased manner utilizing the best practices in the field.
A lot of people tell me that they don't know what side I am leaning towards. There is a reason for this: the people I am interviewing often don't know whether I am agreeing with them or not because I truly haven't formulated an opinion yet. This is what makes me different: I value my objectivity and independence as an evaluator, regardless of who hires me. I don’t jump to conclusions. I listen and seek to understand all possible sides of an issue. I keep up with the scientific literature, and I devote a lot of my time to ongoing training. I make it my aim not to draw conclusions until I reach the analysis portion of my assessment. It is important to me that I am up-to-date, and providing evaluations of a high quality. It is also important to me that I offer assessments to those who request them as quickly as possible, and that I get reports completed in as timely a fashion as possible. I believe in highly personalized psychological evaluation. I do all my own interviewing, reading of records, and report writing. Unlike many psychology clinics that use students, psychometricians and psychological associates in place of psychologists to conduct testing, I believe the psychologist themselves must take time to get to know the person in order to accurately interpret the test data. Therefore, I do all testing and interpretation myself. This is a primary reason that so many people choose my practice. You will never be passed around from person to person as if you were on an assembly line. I do a lot of my own administration work, but I also have a virtual assistant who helps me respond to inquiries and book assessments. My phone - 778-997-3441 - is answered by a machine. If you get my voicemail, please leave a message and one of us will call or email you back promptly. Alternatively, send us an email! [email protected] 778-997-3441 |
